Man facing murder charges in Wilson

WILSON (WTVD) -- Authorities in Wilson are investigating a man's murder Monday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., police officers were called to the 400 block of Hines St. West regarding a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Edward J. Watkins II dead.

A suspect, 50-year-old Devard Allen, was arrested at the scene.

Allen has been charged with murder in connection with the incident. He is currently in jail under no bond.

The investigation is ongoing. Further details have not been released.
