Serious crash blocks traffic on I-85 NB in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A major crash blocked rush hour traffic on I-85 northbound near the Guess Road exit on Wednesday evening.

Our crew on the scene said a woman was injured after an SUV crashed into a Jersey barrier on the highway and flipped over.

All lanes on I-85 northbound were closed to traffic near Exit 175, but have since reopened.

The victim's sister reached out to ABC11 and told us it was a miracle Iris "Nicky" Danner survived.
