Father accused of seriously injuring 2-month-old son

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- A father in Johnston County was arrested and charged with abusing his infant son. The 2-month-old boy is being treated for broken arms and legs.

28-year-old Chad Brandon Capps of Princeton was charged with felony child abuse causing serious bodily injury.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office said detectives were told about the injuries to the boy earlier in the month by the Department of Social Services.

Authorities said the infant had a broken left femur, broken right femur, broken forearms, and fractures to his tibia and fibula.

Capps was taken to the Johnston County Jail under a $50,000 bond.

Authorities are still investigating.
