DURHAM (WTVD) -- A UNC alumnus is leading by example, showing folks you're never too old to get moving.

At 96 years old, Bobby Gersten is UNC's oldest living athlete. He brought his 16 for 16 campaign to Duke University on Wednesday to encourage youth participation in recreational activities and to promote a lifelong interest in physical health.

As part of the campaign, Gersten walked a mile around Morris William Track and Field Stadium.

Gersten says he still exercises daily.
