2 charged in fatal Fayetteville Carlie C's shooting

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police have charged two people in connection with a fatal shooting that happened Saturday evening.

Police believe 20-year-old Izaiah Jamal Blue and 19-year-old Jalyn La-Scott Phillips are responsible for a shooting that killed one person and seriously wounded another.

Detectives with the FPD's Homicide Unit are encouraging friends and family of these two young men, to have them surrender to law enforcement.

Officers said the incident in question happened around 7:30 p.m. in the Carlie C's parking lot located in the 600 block of South Reilly Road.

When police arrived, they found that 20-year-old Nisier Nuriddin and 20-year-old Tontaria Lunsford has been shot.

An eyewitness told ABC11 Lunsford was shot in the arm and Nuriddin was shot in the chest.

Both victims were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where Nuriddin later died.

Blue and Phillips have been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury (AWDWIKISI), robbery with a dangerous weapon, and felonious conspiracy to commit Robbery.

Police believe the suspects are armed and dangerous.

Detectives said the men may be driving a black 2017 GMC Arcadia with a North Carolina registration of EKM-8858.
