On Friday night, a car and a SUV collided at the intersection of Broad Street and Wilbon Road in Fuquay-Varina.
A 4-year-old died due to the crash. Two other people remain in serious condition.
Authorities say four people including two children went to Wake Med.
Officers are still trying to figure out what happened.
Authorities have not released any of the victim's names.
