Teams think pink for Hoops for Hope

RALIEGH

Wolfpack Head Coach and breast cancer survivor, Kay Yow inspired the event which raises funds and awareness to fight cancer.

Other campaigns have spread across the country and now over 800 schools participate.

Yow's players surpirised her with not only pink uniforms for Sunday's game against Boston College, but each has the name Yow on the back, a tribute to their coach.

At halftime, two assistants from the Tennessee Lady Vols showed up to present Yow with a check for $10,000 that they raised for the cause as a team last summer.

Yow was extremely grateful for the efforts by all.

In Atlanta, the Georgia Tech cheerleaders were decked out in pink, as the Yellow Jackets hosted to number three North Carolina.

Duke also going with the theme think pink, Wake Forest showed up in Cameron Stadium wearing pink shoelaces and even the referee was sporting a pink whistle.
