Police search for possible third rape suspect

RALEIGH

Raleigh police will only say they are looking a third suspect.

The victim said as she laid passed out from drinking too much brandy at a party, three men raped her --snapping pictures with a cell phone -- capturing each moment of the attack in graphic digital photos.

A girlfriend found her naked the next morning.

According to court records, the pictures gave Raleigh police just the evidence they needed to make two arrests.

17-year-old Kevin Acoasta is in jail on a one million dollar bond, along with 26-year-old Eduardo (Jose) Vidal.

Both are charged with first degree forcible sexual offense and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police are still searching for Vidal's roommate, 29-year-old Renan Jimenec.

A friend of all three men spoke to Eyewitness News off camera, saying that the 17-year-old victim is a known runaway who was told to go home, but she refused.

The friend also told us one of the men accused of assaulting her had once given her a place to stay when she left from home.

Acoasta and Vidal will make their first court appearance Tuesday morning.
