Washing machice mildew causes stinky towels

Joyce Pelley says no matter how many times she washed the towels they have an odor.

Pelley tried hot water, bleach, baking soda and even vinegar but nothing worked. Experts say the problem is /*mildew*/.

It can grow in just about any type of /*washing machine*/. But those new front loaders acan cause the biggest stink!

"There is a seal that seems to retain some water and then that water gets musty and puts out a mildew which gets into the washer and gets on the boot which is in the front by the window," Appliance Repairman Rex Boyce said.

There are products that can get rid of the smell. Experts also suggest leaving the washer door open or running an empty washer with hot water and bleach.
