While in /*Iraq*/, the Second Brigade Combat team provided security for some of the most dangerous areas in the country.
Troops say they are glad to be back home.
"I'm elated. I haven't seen my little girl or my wife in 15 months, my little girl in six months and it's awesome. It's awesome. I have my whole family here, so it's a great feeling to be home," 82nd Airborne Sgt. Robert Cartwright said.
Three additional brigades are scheduled to return by July.
