Authorities say it started in southern /*Wake County*/ at a DUI checkpoint.
They say Sheriff /*Donnie Harrison*/ is one of the officers who pursued a driver into Harnett.
The chase extended through three counties Wake, Johnston and Harnett.
Officials set up the Wake checkpoint to catch drunk drivers, and anyone not wearing seat belts over the weekend.
Deputies chased a car and then made an arrest. Authorities have not said what started the chase.
Saturday's checkpoint had a total of 120 charges including 10 DWI charges. Other charges included; seven driving while license revoked , 12 with no operator's license, and various other motor vehicle infractions.
