Electricity is back on in southeast Raleigh.

About 11,000 customers lost power this morning sometime before 8 a.m.

The outage occurred along Rock Quarry Road between I-40 and Creech Road. Police were dispatched to direct traffic at major intersections, including the I-40 interchange and at Sanderford Road.

After 30 minutes, power was restored to the area. A malfunction at a power station caused the outage.
