Police investigate series of armed robberies

The Goldsboro Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office are investigating a series of armed robberies that have occurred at four local convenience stores and at one Goldsboro Laundromat.

The suspect is an African American man who has been seen wearing a camouflage coat and sometimes camouflage pants.

The suspect has a dark colored bandana across the bridge of his nose and a black hoodie up on his head.

He is armed with a pistol grip sawed-off shotgun with silver duct tape on the grip and demands money and cigarettes from the clerks, then flees the business on foot.

The suspect is approximately 20-years-old, slim and about 6 feet tall.
