Arrests made for over 100 burglaries

The Harnett County Sheriff's Office says they have seen an increase in burglary in Coats, Angier, Lillington, Duncan and Fuquay areas since January.

In response to the increase, K-9 Units and Traffic units conducted traffic check points to investigation the incidents.

Deputies were able to obtain information that lead to the arrest of; Juan Carlos Padilla, 23, of Fuquay-Varina, Hugo Gomez Aguirre, 18, of Angier and Cesar Inez Delatorre, 27, of Benson.

Each were arrested on different charges, further charges are pending.

Officials believe that the three have committed up to 100 burglaries across Harnett County, Johnston County and Wake County.

Harnett County has recovered over $ 20,000 in property that includes TVs, jewelry, guns, clothing, stereos, computers, hand tools, saws, and numerous other items.
