WilcoHess offers reward in clerk's murder

WilcoHess has notified the Raleigh Police Department that it is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for the murder of Stephanie Powell Anderson.

"The entire WilcoHess family is mourning the loss of Stephanie Anderson, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family," WilcoHess President Steve Williams said. "We hope anyone with information that could help the police investigation of this tragic and senseless crime will come forward."

Anderson's murder began as a robbery attempt on the morning of Apri 10. She was found shot to death at the WilcoHess gas station on trawick Road.

At this point, one suspect is known to have been involved in the crime.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation of the case is asked to call the RPD's Detective Division at (919) 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 226-CRIME.

People who were in the area of the store between approximately 4:30 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. April 10 and who observed individuals, vehicles or suspicious activity are especially urged to call immediately.
