Four charged in Raleigh woman's murder

RALEIGH On August 17, 2007, several masked gunmen stormed into an apartment in the 4100-block of Spring Forest Road.

During the home invasion, Charmeka Harris, 25, was shot in the abdomen. She later died at Wake Med Hospital. While Raleigh Police investigators say the crime was not random, a reward was offered for information leading to an arrest.

Eight-months after Harris' death, Raleigh Police have arrested three men.

Three of the four suspects charged with Harris' murder are already in custody at the Wake County Jail on unrelated charged according to Raleigh Police spokesman, Jim Sughrue. Another was arrested without incident.

Jaquan Dumas, 19, was rearrested on the murder charge Thursday morning. Timothy Horton, 26, and Brandon Jones, 20, who were being held on federal charges prior to this murder charge were re-arrested Thursday afternoon. Lenair Bene Omar Moses , 25, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by the Raleigh Police Department's Fugitive Task Force.

A motive in the shooting is still unknown as the investigation continues.
