The couple is accused of physically abusing their 2-year-old son. The child is the biological son of Brittney and the stepson of Kyle.
On April 15th, officers responded to Womack Army Medical Center in reference to a child with several bruises on his body, mainly on the face. The child had been taken to Womack by a babysitter hired by the parents for the evening. The babysitter was concerned for the child's well being after seeing the bruises on the child.
The investigation determined the parents were responsible for the injuries to the child. The Department of Social Services took custody of the 2-year old last week.
They are currently in the Cumberland County Detention Center with a $5,000.00 secured bond.
