Police tell /*Eyewitness News*/ the man was hit by a car Tuesday evening while trying to cross south Saunders Street.
Police say one vehicle stopped to allow the man to cross, but the car behind failed to stop, hitting the first car.
The impact pushed the first car into the pedestrian. The man later died at Wake Med. Police have not released the identity of the victim.
The driver of the second car was charged with failure to reduce speed.
