Chapel Hill officers responded to a residence around 2:28 a.m. Wednesday receiving a report of an armed robbery.

The victims reported that they returned home to discover three intruders in the residence.

Two of the victims struggled with the suspects, during which a suspect's handgun apparently discharged. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and were stopped a short time later by Carrboro officers.

All four of the suspects are from Greenboro.

Officers discovered that one of the suspects was shot in the leg during the struggle, and he was transported to UNC Hospitals.

He is identified as 20-year-old Jaquay Lamar Blacknall. Blacknall will be served with warrants upon his release from the hospital.

Patrick Cole Clark, 17, and Ryan Craig Gartrell, 18, were both charged with armed robbery and felony breaking and entering. Both are being held at the Orange County jail under $4000 secured bond.

The fourth suspect, 18-year-old Taumafalofi Leasiolagi, is also charged with armed robbery. He was also transported to the Orange County jail under $4000 secured bond.
