Angier woman missing in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested a man early Monday morning and charged him with murder in the death of an Angier woman.

Michael Arthur Howell, 40, of Indian Trail, is charged with one count of murder. He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail without bond.

On Wednesday, /*Sallie Rohrbach*/ arrived in the /*Charlotte*/ area from /*Angier*/ to conduct some business on behalf of the Department of Insurance, when she failed to make a scheduled meeting with her supervisor.

Rohrbach's state owned vehicle was recovered on Friday morning behind a Bojangles' restaurant in Charlotte. The discovery prompted a ground and air search by authorities. Police say they found Rohrbach's belongings Sunday in hotel room.

Authorities say Howell worked at an insurance agency in Charlotte known by two different names. Police searched the business overnight.

Police aren't saying anything else about the case at this time.
