Methodist Bishop Al Gwinn recently decided to promote Wynn to Fayetteville superintendent within the Methodist Church..
Even with a murder investigation, Gwinn says that promotion will still take effect July 1. He will act as a pastor to pastors..
"He's greatly respected," Bishop Gwinn said. "And Sam has demonstrated again and again, but especially here at Holland's, his effectiveness as a leader."
So far, the church is leaving the question about their pastor to law enforcement..
No charges have been filed in the case.
Two separate services were held for Rosemary. One was a funeral in Wake County and the other was a memorial service in Bladen County.
Rosemary's family did not attend the Wake County funeral, which was held at Holland United Methodist Church where Wynn has been pastor since June 2005.
