Shooting sends man to hospital
RALEIGH At approximately 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a shooting call on Cantwell Court near its intersection with N. Raleigh Boulevard.
Upon arrival, the officers located a male victim in his twenties who was transported to WakeMed. He was shot in the abdomen, but there's no word on his condition, or a suspect.
The shooting victim has been identified as Marcus DeAngelo Richardson, 23.
Police had to close off North Raleigh Boulevard down between Glascock Street and Millbank Street, while they cleared the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
