County employee resigns, questions swirl
WAKE COUNTY James Reynolds left his position as the director of the solid waste management division Monday.
It comes just weeks after he was demoted. Reynolds used to be Craig Wittig's boss.
Wittig used to lead the county's recycling program.
He lost his job after spending tens of thousands of dollars of county money on travel expenses.
The county is now auditing all employees' spending from the last year.
