Funeral service held for Army nurse

DUBUQUE, IOWA Second Lt. Holley Wimunc's body was found in a wooded area near Camp Lejeune three days after a suspicious fire at her Fayetteville apartment. Her husband, Marine Cpl. John Wimunc served as a combat engineer at the base. He is charged with first-degree murder, arson and conspiracy to commit arson in the slaying of his wife.

Also charged is Lance Cpl. Kyle Alden, who faces single counts of first-degree arson, conspiracy to commit arson and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

The 24-year-old Wimunc was a maternity ward nurse at Fort Bragg's Womack Army Medical Center. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at the Cathedral of St. Raphael in Dubuque.
