Harnett County authorities say they've made a massive marijuana bust. In fact, 30,000 pot plants were discovered in a wooded area of McArthur Road in Broadway. The plants were between one and six-feet tall. The street value is a whopping $72 million dollars.

The bust is the result of an elaborate undercover operation involving the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, the state Highway Patrol the SBI and the North Carolina National Guard Drug Unit.

Numerous items were located and seized that were used to water, fertilizer and protect the plants from animals and insects. There were two camps sites with food, personal items, cooking supplies and tents. An extensive search was conducted of the area by ground and air but no suspects were located.
