Police investigate possible internet sex operation

CARY According to search warrants a 21-year-old Cary man met the 12-year-old on MySpace.

At one point the search warrant describes how the 21-year-old drove to Sanford to pick up the boy, took him to dinner at T.G.I. Friday's, a movie, then to his Cary apartment complex.

According to the search warrants, when the 12-year old boy's parents reported him missing he was really with the older man. The boy was returned home safely hours later, but warrants tell of the ordeal he went through.

The documents state the boy told investigators he fell asleep on the couch and awoke to the man "sucking on his neck."

The search warrant affidavit goes on to say upon further examination, a nurse detected hickey's on other parts of the boy's body, and other signs of sexual interaction.

That is what prompted the search of the man's apartment in the Cary.

Investigators say during the search they learned the 21-year-old suspect was "into pornography."

He allegedly told officers his main source of income is performing sex acts for people over the internet using his web cam.

He told officers his roommate also makes his income the same way.

Investigators took computers, hard drives, cameras, and other electronics from the Cary apartment, but have not made any arrests in the case.

Eyewitness News went to the Cary apartment complex where the men live, but no one answered the door.
