A police chase ends with one person dead, another person injured and a suspect on the loose caught. Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday three males entered into Tienda Guerreo, a downtown business in Siler City, where they assaulted and robbed the business owner.

According to the Siler City Police Department, a sheriff deputy in the area saw the suspects exit the business and an injured man yelling for help. The deputy then began to chase the suspect's vehicle out of the city.

Chatham County officials say the chase ended when the suspects' car clipped a truck on Highway 902 on Rocky River Bridge Road.

One suspect was ejected after the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was arrested and transported to the ER for treatment.

The driver was able to flee the scene and was later found.

Authorities did a reverse 911 call to warn residents to be on the lookout for potentially dangerous suspect. The alert led to the capture of the suspect after a residents tip, Chatham County Sheriff Richard Webster told Eyewitness News.

The suspects identities are not known at this time.
