Lucky drivers in Fayetteville had two hours to fill up their gas tanks at a discount Thursday.

Thanks to the Manna Church, $10,000 worth of gas was available at two gas stations for two hours.

"I need it for work [and] school," motorist Thamecia Bonner said.

Another motorist, Chris Ward, said he doesn't make enough money to pay for gas. He only had one gallon left as he waited in line.

Vehicles lined up more than one half mile down Owen Dr. Katrina Bryan was first in line and first to get her gas.

"It's a great deal, [it] really helps," she said. "I've been waiting all morning. I really wanna thank the church."

The deal was good from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drivers were able to purchase gas for $2.50 a gallon.

"Great opportunity to help community," Jeff Toomer of Manna Church said.
