Residents without power, school closes

It's been more than 24 hours since Tropical Storm Hanna made landfall on the North Carolina coast, but some residents are still without power.Progress Energy reports nearly 60 outages in Wake County and 135 in Cumberland County.

Duke Energy has more than 700 outages in Durham and Alamance counties.

At the height of the storm, the governor's office says 75,000 customers were without power.

Due to a power line failure related to Hanna, Ligon Middle School will be closed on Monday. They anticipate power will be restored and will open on its normal schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 9th.
