Missing man found dead, eight charged

Eight people are wanted in the murder of a missing Orange County man.The body of 20-year-old Joshua McCabe Bailey was found Friday in Chatham County. Bailey was from Carrboro.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office Bailey was last seen on July 21 on Weaver Street in Carrboro.

Officials initially said Bailey had been shot and killed then buried in a wooded area off of Twisted Oak Drive in Orange County.

Investigators later learned through interviews that his body had been moved from Twisted Oak Drive to a burial site in Chatham County.

A Silver Alert was issued for Bailey about three weeks ago after he disappeared.

Brian Gregory Minton, 18, Jacob Alexander Maxwell, 18, Brandon Hamilton Greene, 26, Ryan Ladar Davis Lee, 20, and Jack Johnson II, 20, are all wanted for the first degree murder and kidnapping of Bailey.

Brian Gregory Minton's parents', Gregory Lee Minton, 41, And Mishele Slade Minton, 31, along with Chris Manley, 23, are also wanted for accessory after the fact.

Six of the suspects are under arrest. Lee and Manley are currently being sought after by police.

An investigation at the Medical Examiner's Office has revealed that Bailey was shot in the head.

The exact date that he was shot is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The Orange County Sheriff's Office is handling the case.
