Alcohol may be behind the Triangle's latest fatal car accident involving a teenager. North Carolina State Highway Patrol Troopers tell Eyewitness News that 18-year-old Jarret Oliver Satchell of Wake Forest was driving on Purnell Road, six miles west of Wake Forest.

Satchell's car ran off road when he over corrected, causing him to run into a ditch, strike a power pole and two trees, and then over turn. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the car.

The accident happened at around 12:50 a.m. and troopers say alcohol was involved. No other injuries were reported.

According to his profile on a well-known networking site, he attended Wake Forest Rolesville High School and was a student at East Carolina University.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
