Police seek suspect for alleged assault, rape

Hoke County Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin, says on October 22, a man entered a woman's home in eastern Hoke County where he allegedly assaulted and raped her.

The man possibly does door to door type of sales. The suspect is described as an Indian or Hispanic male, approximately in his mid to late 20s. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a slim build and dark eyes. His is described with long, neatly trimmed side burns, neatly trimmed goat-tee and diamond stud ear ring in left ear.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing blue jean pants, a dark khaki colored shirt with an unknown front logo and white adidas pumps shoes and a Duke baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity or location is urged to call the Hoke County Sheriff's Office detective division at (910) 875-1653. Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
