Police search for serial robbery suspects

RALEIGH A knife was wielded by the suspect in a Sept. 13 robbery of the Capital Boulevard Family Dollar store and a gun was implied during a Sept. 24 robbery of the Capital Boulevard Handee Hugo store.

A firearm was displayed during the remaining crimes:

    Robbery on Oct. 11 at Your House on Capital Boulevard.
    Attempted robbery on Oct. 16 at McDonald's on Spring Forest Road.
    Robbery on Oct. 17 at Wendy's on Capital Boulevard.
    Attempted robbery on Oct. 30 at Spinx/Exxon on New Bern Avenue.
    Robbery on Oct. 31 at Subway on Capital Boulevard.
    Robbery on Nov. 4 at Subway on Louisburg Road.
On several occasions, the suspect or suspects have exhibited aggressive behavior towards victim employees.

A single suspect was seen by employees during the first five crimes. Two suspects were seen during the remaining three incidents. Similarities involving suspect descriptions, the close proximity of several incidents and other factors cause detectives to believe some or all of the crimes may be related.

The involved suspects have been described as African American men in their teens or twenties.

The suspect or suspects in dark clothing seen in surveillance photos from the Family Dollar and McDonald's robberies is described as being of thin build with a light to medium skin tone and standing approximately 5 feet 8 to 10 inches tall.

The suspect in the gray hoodie seen in the Spinx surveillance photo is described as being of stocky build and standing about 5 feet 4 to 6 inches tall.

Two suspects were seen in the Oct. 31 robbery of the Subway.
