North Carolina National Guard mobilizes for Iraq

It's been four years since they've seen combat action, but that's about to change for thousands of citizen soldiers. The 30th Heavy Brigade's mission will be similar to the one they accomplished four years ago: building schools, providing security, and training Iraqi security forces.

Members say things in Iraq appear to be improving.

"I think the Iraq security forces are continuing to stand up. The son's of Iraq are assisting with the security of Iraqis, and I think the overall country is coming together

But above all, these soldiers say they're proud to serve their country and represent North Carolina.
