Investigator: Young murdered wife

RALEIGH According to an affidavit filed in a Wake County court supporting a civil judgment against Jason Young, R.C. Spivey III has worked "almost exclusively on the investigation of the murder of Michelle Young since March 2007." In the filing, he says based on his knowledge of the evidence gathered in the investigation of Michelle Young's death, "in the early morning hours of November 3, 2006, Jason Young brutally murdered Michelle Young at their residence."

Friday, Judge Donald Stevens entered a final judgment against Jason Young under the "slayer" statute declaring that Jason Young "willfully and unlawfully killed" his wife Michelle. This judgment was based on Jason Young's lack of response to the civil suit filed against him.

Now, the affidavit goes one step further. The investigator says he has "other items of fact" that are not public record that when combined with information made public in search warrants, indicate that "Jason Young was the perpetrator."
