Suspicious package sent to residence

FAYETTEVILLE According to police, officers were called to investigate a package at a residence. They say it was a box with wires sticking out of it.

The Fayetteville Police Department, the Stoney Point Fire Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff's office were all involved.

After a brief investigation, authorities say they figured out the package was no threat to anyone.
