Arrest made in restaurant robbery

WAKE COUNTY Cary Police told Eyewitness News that 38-year-old Ronald Perry robbed the Crazy Fire Mongolian Grill on Buck Jones Road Saturday night just before 11 p.m. and then took off.

Not long after the robbery, a trooper spotted Perry's vehicle on I-40 near the Durham Freeway and pulled it over.

Perry was arrested and two other passengers were detained. They have not been charged.

Perry faces charges of armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor failure to appear.

He's in the Wake County Jail with more than a $2 million bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m.
