Husband surrenders after standoff

MADISON, Ga. Authorities say a standoff with a man who allegedly kidnapped his wife and their son ended around 9:15 a.m. Monday.

According to the FBI, the standoff began Sunday night in a hotel about 60 miles east of Atlanta. Twenty-five-year-old David Dietz had been holding his 7-month old son, his estranged wife, 29-year-old Eva Arce-Perez, and 17-year-old Jamie Lynn Burgess.

Dietz is accused of kidnapping the three Sunday night in South Carolina.

There are no reports of injuries.
