Campout organizer Morgan Donnelly said she and other organizers decided around 11:00 p.m. Friday night, that with temps dipping into the single digits, it would just be too cold to camp out over night.
Donnelly said that more than 2,000 campers started the night out, but all were back home by 3:00 a.m. Saturday.
Campout organizers kept a close eye on campers, making sure they had plenty of warm clothing, and even positioned portable heaters around the field.
Donnelly said no one suffered any kind of cold weather injuries, but due to an existing condition, one person was sent home by medical officials attending the campout.
