They were able to rescue a woman from inside the Biltmore Hills Apartments.
No official word yet on the extent of her injuries. But an eyewitness says she was in bad shape after the rescue.
"I was coming in from church, and I just rolled by and saw the fire," eyewitness Eddie Griffith said. "I heard people hollering that somebody was in there and the fire people pulled a lady out of there. She wasn't responding to I guess them trying to revive her, she wasn't responding."
Officials say two apartment units were burned. They're still investigating the cause.
