He allegedly forced 32-year-old Dawn Wagner to drive him away from a Walgreens store on Horner Blvd.
According to a new release from the Sanford Police Deaprtment, Wagner was leaving the store around 8:15 a.m. Thursday when Markeys approached her with a gun.
Police say Markeys took her purse and forced her to drive out of the parking lot. Someone witnessed what was happening and called 911.
Police stopped Wagner's car near the store on north Horner Blvd.
They arrested Griffin and Wagner was not harmed.
Griffin is in jail on a $100,000 bond.
