In a pre-trial hearing Wednesday, Kreutzer pleaded guilty to premeditated murder, attempted premeditated murder and aggravated assault.
The plea deal means military prosecutors won't seek the death penalty.
Kreutzer was sentenced to death in a 1996 court-martial, but a military appeals court overturned the conviction.
