The victim shot the suspect, who attempted to get away. But he didn't get far. The suspect was found a block away a short time later.
Both of the men are recovering from their injuries.
Resident shoots suspect during home invasion
DURHAM It happened in around 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Hampton Crossing Apartments on East Pilot Street. Police say the suspect kicked in the front door of an apartment, demanded money and shot the victim.
