The Highway Patrol says Vaughn was driving too fast when she lost control of the vehicle and in rolled into a ditch. Her husband, 55-year-old Mark Vaughn, was killed.
Teresa Vaughn was ejected from the vehicle, and her husband, who was sitting in the back seat, was partially ejected. A second passenger, 26-year-old Sabrina Addison, was sitting in the front seat and was the only one wearing a seat belt.
Investigators say speeding was probably a factor in the crash.
