Some of it will be for young people to get summer jobs. The rest will go to adults who have been unemployed or were more recently laid off.
County officials are hoping 600 young people and about 200 adults will get jobs for 4 to 5 months with the money. Pay will range between $7.25 and $12 an hour.
More information will be available at www.jumpinthejobpool.com but the website is still under construction.
