The victim, 23-year-old Kenneth Wayne Battle, Jr., died from his injuries.
Investigators determined someone shot Battle while he stood outside in the 700 block of Grantland Drive. Police arrested a suspect, 19-year-old Dana Danielle Hudson, Thursday at an apartment in Wake Forest.
She is being held in a Wake COunty jail without bond.
