Free bus rides Saturday in Raleigh

RALEIGH The fare-free day is part of CAT's effort to encourage an alternate green commute in Raleigh. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh will also have an Earth Day celebration Saturday.

Planet Earth Celebration attendees are encouraged to ride the R Line to the museum. This is the second year the museum is teaming up with Burt's Bees and the City of Raleigh to present "Planet Earth Celebration: Respect Your Mother."

The event is free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. rain or shine. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the importance of environmentally responsible living.
