Chase begins at checkpoint

GARNER It started around 9:30 p.m. in Garner.

Officers say the suspect left the checkpoint, so officers pursed the vehicle. The chase ended in a crash on New Bern Ave. at Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh.

There is no word on why the person drove off from the checkpoint.
