It happened near the Gorman Street exit at mile marker 296 Monday morning.
All three lanes of the interstate were closed while firefighters worked to put out the truck which caught fire after the crash.
Witnesses told Eyewitness News that they tried to pull Wrenn out of his cab before the fire consumed the vehicle, but they were not able to free him.
