Driver in fiery crash identified

The truck driver who died in a flaming wreck on I-40 was identified Wednesday. Austin Wrenn, 75, was pinned when his truck jackknifed and the doors of his cab were pinned between the trailer and a guard rail.

It happened near the Gorman Street exit at mile marker 296 Monday morning.

All three lanes of the interstate were closed while firefighters worked to put out the truck which caught fire after the crash.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News that they tried to pull Wrenn out of his cab before the fire consumed the vehicle, but they were not able to free him.
