Police say a man who worked at a bankrupt car dealership was arrested and charged with obtaining property by false pretense.Chad Madeen Zuehlke, 37, of Raleigh is charged with 27 counts of obtaining property by false pretense. Police arrested him Friday and he is being held in lieu of a $5 million bond.

Zuehlke worked for Olde Raleigh Motors on Glenwood Ave.

Zuehlke is accused of receiving trade-in vehicles and failing to pay off the previous owners' loans. Investigators also say he sometimes sold vehicles without giving the buyer a title, knowing there was a lien on the cars and trucks.

Police filed charges after the DMV investigated complaints from several customers.

Olde Raleigh Motors filed for bankruptcy protection in April.
